Breakfast: Country Flax Cereal

Here’s breakfast #3 from Part A, Week 3, SSHE – country flax cereal:

This is the 1,200 calorie version.  The 2,000 calorie version had more cereal.  We both used a dairy serving for milk.

As far as cold cereal goes, I really enjoyed this breakfast.  It had banana chips, raisins, almond slivers, flakes and sticks and puffs and every imaginable way grains can be processed into cereals.  There was also a good amount of it, so it stuck with me until lunch.

  1. I enjoyed this more than I thought I would! I don’t like raisins so I picked those out, and I added it to a cup of non-fat yogurt. It was very tasty. This would have been a good breakfast to have a piece of fruit with, that’s the only thing I feel is missing. With it being cereal I think to myself “I can provide my own cereal, I want them to make me something I can’t/wouldn’t make” but I realize that I didn’t to spend any time or thought on portion size so that’s a plus. And I don’t have to have the whole box of cereal and either not eat it and waste it or eat it every day and get tired of it.
