Here’s breakfast #2 from Part A, Week 3, SSHE – french toast & veggie sausage:
This is the 1,200 calorie version in the photo. It had a slice of french toast with a spiced apple topping and soy breakfast sausage. I heated up the french toast in the toaster while the apple topping and the soy sausage went in the microwave. The french toast came out crispy.
I’m getting more and more used to having fruit toppings for breakfast items that normally would have had syrup. I think it’s a great habit to stop using syrup which is basically all sugar and empty calories and replace it with fruit!
The veggie sausage is always a winner.

Mine had 3 small strips of french toast (which I microwaved but should have put in the toaster oven), soy sausage (yum!) and sliced cinnamon apples. Except for the french toast being kind of chewy, which probably had to do with how I heated it, this was a really good breakfast.
